Cross-border trade, settled in one wallet.
Financing for importers and exporters on the network: draw in one currency, repay in another, and let the wallet's live rates and multi-currency ledger carry the settlement.
Availability: Phase 2, after the Phase 1 facilities are live and the legal basis for foreign-currency payouts is settled (FEMA, purpose codes, partner banks). Terms will be published before launch.
One facility across currencies and borders
International trade finance bridges the gap between shipping goods and being paid across a border. An exporter on the network can draw an advance in rupees against a confirmed order from an overseas buyer; when the buyer pays in dollars, euros or dirhams into the exporter's wallet, the receipt is converted at the live rate and settles the advance.
An importer can do the reverse: pay a supplier abroad from the wallet in the supplier's currency while repaying in rupees as the goods sell at home.
The multi-currency ledger keeps each leg explicit: the drawdown, the conversion with its rate and eRupee charge, the receipt, and the release. Nothing is netted out of sight.
Who it is for
Documents we ask for
Draw in one currency, repay in another
Confirm the order
Upload the purchase order or contract; the counterparty confirms it on the network or by signed document.
Draw the advance
The agreed share is credited to your wallet in the currency you choose, at the live rate shown before you confirm.
Ship and get paid
The buyer pays into your wallet in their currency; the wallet matches the receipt to the facility.
Convert and settle
The receipt is converted at the live rate, the advance is settled, the balance is yours.
Indicative terms
Every facility is priced for the member and the trade it finances. The figures below show the shape of the product, not an offer; your offer letter states the exact terms.
| Advance | Up to 70% of a confirmed order |
|---|---|
| Tenor | 60 to 180 days, matched to shipping and payment terms |
| Currencies | Drawdown and repayment in any launch currency (INR, USD, EUR, GBP, AED, SGD) |
| Pricing | A discount rate per 30 days plus the published eRupee exchange charge on each conversion |
| Documents | Purchase order or contract, shipping documents, invoice; letters of credit where the buyer's bank requires them |
| Security | Assignment of the receivable; a credit guarantee can be attached |
| Regulatory | FEMA purpose codes and partner-bank reporting handled by eRupee on each leg |
Risk, compliance and your protection
Foreign-currency legs run only through licensed partner banks and payment institutions, with the purpose code and the reporting that Indian rules require on every transfer.
Rates are the live indicative rates on the public board, with the eRupee charge stated before you confirm; the statement records the rate used on each conversion.
Counterparty risk is reduced by confirmation on the network; where the buyer is outside the network, documentary evidence and, where needed, a credit guarantee stand in.
