Finance the invoice, not the wait.
Invoice and inventory financing for merchants who sell on the eRupee network: get most of an invoice paid now, and let the buyer's payment into your wallet settle the rest.
Availability: rolls out with Phase 1 of the merchant wallet for Indian merchants with a verified business profile. Facilities are offered through a licensed lending partner.
Turn receivables and stock into cash flow
Trade finance covers the gap between selling and being paid. When a merchant on the network issues an invoice to a buyer, eRupee can advance most of its value at once; when the buyer pays into the merchant's wallet, the advance is settled from that receipt.
Inventory financing works the other way round: a merchant buys stock from a supplier on the network, eRupee pays the supplier through the wallet, and the merchant repays as the stock sells.
Both are built on the wallet's receipts: because the buyer's payment arrives through eRupee, the lender sees the settlement the moment it happens, which is what keeps the facility simple and the pricing fair.
Who it is for
Documents we ask for
Invoice in, cash out, settled on receipt
Upload the invoice
Raise or upload the invoice to the buyer from the wallet; the buyer confirms it on their side.
Advance paid
Up to 80% of the confirmed invoice is credited to your wallet, usually the same day.
Buyer pays into the wallet
The buyer settles the invoice through eRupee on the due date; the receipt is matched to the facility.
Balance released
The remaining amount, less the agreed charge, is released to your wallet automatically.
Indicative terms
Every facility is priced for the member and the trade it finances. The figures below show the shape of the product, not an offer; your offer letter states the exact terms.
| Advance | Up to 80% of a confirmed invoice; up to 70% of invoiced stock |
|---|---|
| Tenor | 30 to 120 days, matched to the invoice due date |
| Ticket size | ₹25,000 to ₹50,00,000 per facility |
| Currency | Indian rupees at launch; other wallet currencies as buyers settle in them |
| Pricing | A discount rate per 30 days, stated on each advance |
| Recourse | With recourse to the seller unless a credit guarantee is attached |
| Settlement | Automatic, from the buyer's receipt into the wallet |
Risk, compliance and your protection
Invoices are confirmed by the buyer on the network before any advance is paid, which removes most of the fraud that troubles invoice finance elsewhere.
The lending partner sets the credit limit per buyer and per seller; eRupee never advances against an invoice the buyer has not acknowledged.
Every advance, receipt and release is visible in both parties' statements. Disputes on an invoice pause the facility until the parties agree.
Frequently asked
Does my buyer have to be on eRupee?
Yes for the fully automatic version: the buyer's payment into your wallet is what settles the advance. Invoices to buyers outside the network are considered case by case.
What if the buyer pays late?
The facility runs to its tenor; beyond that, the discount continues per 30 days as stated in your offer, and our team works the collection with you.
Can I finance part of an invoice?
Yes. Choose the amount you need up to the advance limit.
Is inventory finance available to new merchants?
After three months of receipts on the network, or earlier with a guarantor from the network.
